Public Notice: Notice of First Reading – District of Ucluelet Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1383, 2026

Pursuant to Section 467 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that the District of Ucluelet will consider first reading for District of Ucluelet Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1383, 2026 during the January 27, 2026, Regular Council Meeting, at 4:00 PM. This Regular Council Meeting will be held both in-person in the George Fraser Community Room in the Ucluelet Community Centre, located at 500 Matterson Drive, Ucluelet B.C. and electronically via the Zoom platform. The Local Government Act prohibits the District of Ucluelet from holding a Public Hearing for this Bylaw.

Purpose: The purpose of this proposed Bylaw, in general terms, is to amend the District of Ucluelet Zoning Bylaw No. 1160, 2013, to change the zoning designation of the subject lot from CS-5 – Tourist Commercial to R-3 – High Density Residential. The bylaw will also allow a single Multiple Family Residential use in a single building, set a maximum density of 16 dwelling units, set the maximum size of an accessory building and allow one home occupation use per dwelling unit on the subject property.
