2026 Local General Election – PRELIMINARY ELECTION RESULTS
Preliminary election results will be made available on the District website at Ucluelet.ca/PublicNotices.
The next general local election will be held on October 17, 2026.
General local elections are held every four years across British Columbia. In Ucluelet, eligible voters elect:
- One (1) Mayor
- Four (4) Councillors
Voting Dates & Locations
Advance Voting: Wednesday, October 7, 2026 | 8 AM – 8 PM
General Voting: Saturday, October 17, 2026 | 8 AM – 8 PM
Location: Ucluelet Community Centre, 500 Matterson Drive
Through general local elections, residents and non-resident property electors choose the representatives who will make decisions and govern on their behalf for the next four-year term.
General local elections are a shared responsibility between local governments and Elections BC.
Elections are governed by the Local Government Act, Community Charter, and Local Elections Campaign Financing Act. The District of Ucluelet administers the local election process and appoints a Chief Election Officer to ensure it is fair, transparent, and accessible.
At the March 31, 2026 Regular Council Meeting, Council appointed Ed Chow as Chief Election Officer and Florence Pelchat as Deputy Chief Election Officer for the purpose of administering the 2026 General Local Election for the District of Ucluelet.

Register as a non-resident property elector
There are 2 ways to register:
- In advance by August 25 at 4pm – in person at the District of Ucluelet Office or by emailing elections@ucluelet.ca
- At a voting place on a voting day
To apply, you will need to:
- Complete an application for registration as a non-resident property elector and consent of registered owners form PDF file (882 KB) (if there are multiple owners)
- Provide 2 pieces of identification:
- Both must show your name
- 1 must include your address
- 1 must include your signature
- Provide proof of ownership of the Ucluelet property (such as property tax notice, assessment notice, or certificate of title)
