Food events! If I come in the winter I don't want to drive to Tofino for lunch and dinner. Please let us know about interesting places to eat.
I absolutely love Ucluelet it is so breath taking we visit every year
My brother-in-law and wife and family lived in Ucluelet some 45 years ago. Dudley and Moyia Allanson and family. Dud operated a fishing boat from there - tied up at the Shell docks. Would love to see a video of the fishing industry today going out to the banks and waves so high you couldn't see the next boat fishing till you crested the wave. People don't realize the dangers these folks face daily in order to feed us. Also - Photos of the town today and what you have to offer visitors. While we were there, we visited Long Beach and many of the beaches in the area.
Also as a foot note - Dudley worked with the highway crew blasting the new roadway in. I would love to visit Ucluelet again now. I have been back to camp on the beach about 20 years ago. Love the area.
Hope the native crafts are still doing well. Love the pine needle boxes.
I like to see what events, well in advance, are happening in and around Ucluelet. I love seeing photos and videos of your area in all the seasons. Powerful waves to setting sunsets. Because we usually only get to the west coast of the island once a year or so, it is nice to learn about the food industry as well. What is hot, places to go etc..
I would like see what events are happening in Ucluelet and know more about the amazing music scene your beautiful town has. Maybe have an "Ask a local" segment where you ask locals a specific question and see their varying answers. Also a whats new blurb.
I would just love for someone to give my husband and myself a job that guarantees enough salary to keep us comfortable, and to be able to buy a small house to live out our lives in what has become our little bit of heaven on Earth. We have the best and most moving memories of our first ever visit to Ucluelet on our first ever vacation To Canada in 2008. We loved it so much that we went straight back and filled out our immigration forms! We are now very proud Canadian citizens and re-visited Ucluelet last year .. to realise that we loved it even more deeply than we did the first time round. Our favourite place on God's Earth ... and we hope with all of our hearts that we will return some day soon to re-discover it all over again.
Wow, thank you! That is a great compliment. Wish you good luck on your journey to move in Ucluelet.
We come regularly all the way from Ottawa because Ucluelet is so beautiful. Nothing in Canada matches it! We are coming in late November and praying for wild weather, big waves and warm, friendly folks.
