NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the December 9, 2025, regular meeting of Council, the Council of the District of Ucluelet will consider first reading of the following bylaws:

1.  District of Ucluelet Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1386, 2025

Location(s): 338, 346, 354, 362, 370, 378 and 386 Yew Street; 1530, 1540, and 1550 Larch Road

Applicant(s): District of Ucluelet

Purpose: To amend Schedule A – Zoning Map of the District of Ucluelet Zoning Bylaw No. 1160, 2013 by rezoning the Subject Properties from R-1 Zone – Single Family Residential to R-2 Zone – Medium Density Residential (R-2 Zone), and in general terms, amend the contents of the R-2 Zone to provide more development flexibility and options.

2. District of Ucluelet Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1387, 2025

Location(s): All properties zoned VR-1 Zone – VACATION RENTAL (VR-1)

Applicant(s): District of Ucluelet

Purpose: To amend District of Ucluelet Zoning Bylaw No. 1160, 2013 by permitting Accessory Residential Dwelling Units in the VR-1 Zone and increasing flexibility for residential and vacation rental uses in the VR-1 Zone.

3. District of Ucluelet Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1388, 2025

Location(s): 1450 Short Road, 1332 Eber Road, and 1398 Helen Road

Applicant(s): District of Ucluelet

Purpose: To amend Schedule A – Zoning Map of the District of Ucluelet Zoning Bylaw No. 1160, 2013 by changing the zoning of Subject Properties from R-2 Zone – Medium Density Residential to R-2-R – Medium Density Residential (Multiple Family Rental) and adding a rental-only Multiple Family Residential tenure sub-zone to the R-2 Zone.

Notice of First Reading is provided in accordance with the Local Government Act and the District of Ucluelet Public Notice Bylaw No. 1377, 2025. Pursuant to the Local Government Act, public hearings on these bylaws are not permitted.

REVIEW MATERIALS

Copies of the proposed bylaws and related materials may be inspected at the District of Ucluelet Office, located at 200 Main Street, Ucluelet, B.C., during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., excluding statutory holidays).

SUBMISSIONS

All submissions must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025. Written submissions must be made to the attention of the Corporate Officer, noting the subject bylaw number, and your name and address. Written submissions received before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, will be provided to Council as part of the publicly posted agenda, and will become part of the public record.
