General Voting Day is Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ucluelet Community Centre, 500 Matterson Drive. Wheelchair access and curbside voting are available.
Notice of Advance Voting Opportunities
For those who are unable to vote on general voting day, an advance voting opportunity will be held at the Ucluelet Community Centre, 500 Matterson Drive from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Registering to Vote
Electors whose names are not on the list of registered electors may register at the time or voting by completing the required application form available at the voting place and providing required identification.
Resident Electors
A Resident Elector must meet the following requirements:
- age 18 or older on the day of registration or on general voting day;
- Canadian citizen;
- resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately before the day of registration;
- a resident of the District of Ucluelet; and
- not disqualified by any enactment from voting in an election or otherwise disqualified by law
To register, Resident Electors will be required to produce two pieces of Identification (at least one with a signature; photo identification is unnecessary) to prove both residency and identity.
Non-Resident Property Electors
A Non-Resident Property Elector must meet the following requirements:
- age 18 or older on the day of registration or on general voting day;
- Canadian citizen;
- resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately before the day of registration,
- registered owner of real property in the District of Ucluelet for at least 30 days immediately before the day of registration;
- not entitled to register as a resident elector in the District of Ucluelet;
- not disqualified by any enactment from voting in an election or otherwise disqualified by law;
- not registered as a non-resident property elector in relation to any other parcel of real property in the District of Ucluelet;
- if there is more than one registered owner of the property, only one of those individuals may, with the written consent of the majority of the owners, register as a non-resident property elector; and the only persons who are registered owners of the real property, either as joint tenants or tenants in common, are individuals who are not holding the properly in trust for a corporation or another trust.
To register, Non-Resident Property Electors will be required to produce two pieces of Identification (at least one with a signature; photo identification is unnecessary), AND proof that they are entitled to register in relation to the property, and if applicable, written consent from the other property owners. A property tax notice/certificate, a property assessment notice from BC Assessment, a State of Title Certificate, Title Search or Certificate of Indefeasible Title are acceptable forms of proof of property ownership. No corporation is entitled to be registered as an elector or have a representative registered as an elector and no corporation is entitled to vote, and permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrants) who have not yet become Canadian citizens are not entitled to vote.
