Council Meetings are live-streamed on the District of Ucluelet Government YouTube Channel and on Zoom Webinar. Agendas are published on the District of Ucluelet website in advance, so viewers can follow along with the meeting and read the reports that Council uses to inform their decisions.

Public Hearings
Public Hearings – Agendas and Minutes
Under Section 464 of the Local Government Act, public hearings are generally required prior to adoption of an official community plan bylaw, a zoning bylaw, a bylaw under Section 548 or an amendment to any of these bylaws. Public hearings are scheduled to occur during Council meetings or as stand alone events. Members of the public may participate in public hearings in-person, through written submissions, by phone, and by Zoom Webinar.
Participating Via Zoom & Telephone
You can use Zoom by dialing-in or by URL. Please join the Zoom webinar five minutes before the meetings is scheduled to start.
Participate through Zoom Webinar by Telephone – Dial in on your phone using the phone number listed below under “Upcoming Meetings – Zoom Webinar Details.” You will need to enter the meeting ID in order to join the meeting. Note that a participant ID is NOT required. When there is an opportunity for public input and you would like to speak, press *9 to raise your hand and *6 to unmute yourself. Staff will unmute you when it is your turn to speak. Please state your name and address.
Participate through Zoom Webinar by URL – Use your your Zoom compatible tablet, smart phone or computer to join the meeting by clicking on the URL provided below under “Upcoming Meeting – Zoom Webinar Details” or entering it into your browser. Please use your first and last name as your Zoom name that way Staff can call on you when it your turn to speak. When there is an opportunity for public input and you would like to speak, press Raise Hand icon. Staff will unmute you when it is your turn to speak. Please state your name and address.

Zoom, a cloud-based video conferencing software, is used to conduct Council meetings. Meetings are also recorded and live-streamed to the District of Ucluelet’s YouTube Channel. Any personal information that you provide by participating in-person or as a webinar attendee, may form part of this recording.
Personal information maintained by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. and YouTube (Google LLC) may be stored on servers located outside of Canada. Personal information collected as part of the webinar recording is collected by the District under the authority of section 26(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
