Public Notice-2026 General Local Elections Candidate Information Session Wednesday, August 12, 2026

Dear Residents,

The District of Ucluelet is hosting a candidate information session for those considering running for office as a Mayor or Councillor in the 2026 general local election.

The information session will cover a range of topics including candidate eligibility, what to expect if elected, responsibilities of candidates during the election period, and other relevant topics for prospective candidates. The session will be led by Ed Chow, Chief Election Officer and Florence Pelchat, Deputy Chief Election Officer.

The event is being held in person and livestreamed on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the George Fraser Community Room, Ucluelet Community Center located at 500 Matterson Drive, Ucluelet. A recording of the session will be made available after the session.
