Public Notice: Business Regulation Licensing Bylaw No. 2002, 2026 and Single-Use Plastic Regulation Bylaw No. 2015, 2026 – Adoption
Notice is hereby given that Business Regulation Licensing Bylaw No. 2002, 2026 and Single-Use Plastic Regulation Bylaw No. 2015, 2026 will be presented to Council for final adoption at the May 26, 2026, regular Council meeting, scheduled at 4:00 P.M.
The meeting will be held both in-person in the George Fraser Community Room in the Ucluelet Community Centre, located at 500 Matterson Drive, Ucluelet B.C. and electronically via the Zoom platform. Please visit Ucluelet.ca/CouncilMeetings for more information on how to attend Council meetings.
Both bylaws were amended to add new violation and penalty language to authorize the use of the Bylaw Notice Enforcement System for bylaw infractions.
Anyone who considers themselves affected by the proposed bylaws is provided an opportunity to make representations to Council. Written submissions respecting the bylaws will be accepted and provided to Council. To submit a letter, please email communityinput@uclulet.ca or submit or mail a physical letter addressed to the Corporate Officer at 200 Main Street, Ucluelet, B.C., V0R 3A0. All submissions must be received before 12:00 P.M. on May 25, 2026. Submissions should include the author’s name, civic address, the bylaw number and will become part of the permanent public record.

Copies of the proposed bylaw and associated materials may be inspected at the District of Ucluelet Office, 200 Main Street, Ucluelet B.C., during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-12:30pm/ 1:00pm-4:00pm, excluding statutory holidays).
