Update: Wesley Ridge Wildfire (Cameron Lake) – August 5, 2025, 10:00 AM

The District of Ucluelet continues to monitor the Wesley Ridge Wildfire near Cameron Lake. At this time, Highway 4 remains open.

The Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT) is setting up traffic control equipment in the area as a precautionary measure to support wildfire response efforts. Drivers should be prepared for potential delays or intermittent road closures.

We remind all travellers to carry a well-stocked emergency kit in their vehicle, including:

• Food and water

• Phone charger and power bank

• Personal medications

• First aid kit

• Flashlight and extra batteries

• Extra clothing and footwear

• Blankets
