Public Notice: Helen Road Sanitary Sewer Upgrades – Beginning February 2026

Dear Residents,

Hazelwood Construction Services will be starting work on the Helen Road Sanitary Sewer Upgrades in early February. 

New sanitary piping will be installed where the line is shown on the map below, and will have traffic control in place during construction. Please be extra careful when traveling through our job site, and obey traffic flaggers and signage.

Project Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Helen Road: Single lane alternating traffic with minor delays is to be expected during construction.

Marine Drive: The road will be closed to through traffic and open to local traffic only during construction. For homes with driveways within the project footprint, crews will coordinate with you when excavating across your driveway. Workers will knock on your door a day or two before and come up with a plan to ensure continued and safe access to your home during excavation in front of your driveway. This may involve parking your cars outside the construction area so they don’t get trapped in your driveway. Work will be starting at the South end on Helen Road and working uphill.
