Fire Ban to be Rescinded September 25, 2025 @ 12:00 PM

Ucluelet, B.C. — Coastal Fire Centre to Rescind Category 1 Fire Ban on September 25, 2025.

Effective at 12:00 PM (noon) on Thursday, September 25, 2025, the Coastal Fire Centre will rescind the Category 1 (campfire) and Category 2 (backyard burning) prohibitions. These changes apply to all public and private lands within the District of Ucluelet, in accordance with the District of Ucluelet Outdoor Burning Bylaw No. 1288, 2021.

Important Reminders:

  • Always check District bylaws or other local restrictions before lighting a fire.
  • Never light or leave a campfire unattended, and do not burn during windy conditions.
  • Maintain a clear fuel-free area around your fire.
  • Ensure all fires are fully extinguished and ashes are cold to the touch before leaving.

Although fire danger ratings have declined due to recent rain, cooler temperatures, and shorter days, the public is reminded to use caution when burning and to follow all regulations.
