December 16, 2014 – The District of Tofino and the District of Ucluelet today announced that a collaboration with TELUS, BC Hydro, All Nations Trust Company and the Province of British Columbia will bring improved Internet service to the West Coast of Vancouver Island communities of Ahousaht, Tofino and Ucluelet. Expected to be completed in early 2016, the multi-million dollar Highway 4 fibre optic cable installation project will improve capacity, alleviate congestion, and significantly improve the quality of Internet service for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Thank you for attending the Town Hall Meeting held Tuesday October 7th, 2014.  Mayor, Council, and staff were happy to host this informative session.  More importantly, it was a chance to spend the evening discussing your concerns, ask questions of our staff and consultants, and present current, short-term, and long-term measures that address the aesthetics of our water supply.  It was a great evening attended by over 30 community members.
