Tsunami Warning System Replacement & Testing - Friday, September 20, 2024
Replacement of the District of Ucluelet's Cedar Rd. Parking Lot tsunami warning system will resume on Friday, September 20, 2024. To ensure that the replacement has been completed successfully the system will be activated throughout the day. During this process the system activation may not have the “test” warning message.
During a real emergency event, an alert will be sent out through text message, email, and a phone call through our emergency notification system before the tsunami warning system is activated. The most reliable way to receive critical alerts during an emergency situation, as well as provide safety instructions and where to obtain additional information is by subscribing to receive the alerts.
