Water Repair Peninsula Road - Wednesday June 12, 2024
Please be advised that on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 District crews will be working on Peninsula Road in front of Ucluelet Elementary School from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM to resolve a water leak in the roadway.
Impacts during the work:
- Local traffic only on Peninsula Road from Otter Street to Alder Street.
- Traffic control will be in place with a detour route provided via Otter, Helen and Alder.
- Possible low pressure and discoloured water to properties in the vicinity of the Elementary School.
- * A reminder that areas outside of the direct impact zone may be impacted, especially if using large amounts of water. *
- If the water leak exceeds current estimations in size, a localized water shutdown may also occur for 1301 - 1399 Peninsula Road.
All efforts will be made to minimize impacts to the Elementary school operations, with pickup and drop off times being maintained as usual. When conducting work on live infrastructure, impacts to the community often change as the situation unfolds.
