Peninsula Road Safety and Revitalization Project
Stage One - Curb & Driveway Replacement Starting Week of May 27, 2024
Thank you for your patience as we continue to build the new infrastructure as part of the ongoing construction on Peninsula Road.
The project has shifted from underground works to aboveground works. We will be starting with the process of the placement of new concrete curbs, sidewalks, and driveways, followed by new asphalt paving for the bike path and roadway. Completing the works will be new landscaping.
Stage one - Concrete Curb & Driveway placement
Due to the nature of concrete and the time it takes to cure (reach a usable strength) we require that no vehicles cross the concrete for a time of 48hours. On Monday May 27, we will starting the process of pouring the curbs along the road edge. Please note that during construction hours Peninsula Road will be open to single lane alternating traffic. This work is weather dependent.
