The Amphitrite House project is set to begin on Monday June 12, 2023. The existing Lightkeepers residence, and the surrounding grounds, are set to be transformed into a premier public facility and gathering place.
The site will be home to a new public building, public washrooms and a beautiful café with panoramic views of Barkley Sound. Site evaluation, concept, preliminary and detailed design for this project have been ongoing since 2018, and we are now ready to begin the construction phase which will run June through Spring of 2024. Demolition for the project will begin on Monday June 12, 2023. During the construction phase fencing will be installed to ensure continued safe public access to the Wild Pacific Trail’s Lighthouse Loop.
