NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 467 of the Local Government Act, that the District of Ucluelet Council will consider first reading of the following Zoning Amendment Bylaw during their Regular Council Meeting to be held at 4:00 p.m. on March 12, 2024. This Regular Council Meeting will be held in the George Fraser Room at the Ucluelet Community Centre, located at 500 Matterson Drive, Ucluelet B.C., and electronically via the Zoom platform. Members of the public may attend the George Fraser Room to hear, or watch and hear, the meeting, including any electronic participation.

Council is authorized under Section 135 of the Community Charter and Section 480 of the Local Government Act, to give the Bylaw up to three readings at this meeting. If the Bylaw is given third reading at this meeting, Council may adopt the Bylaw at that time.

District of Ucluelet Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1332, 2024

Legal Description: Lot 18, Plan VIP30931, District Lot 282, Clayoquot Land District
Purpose: In general terms, the purpose of this bylaw is to amend the District of Ucluelet Zoning Bylaw No. 1160, 2013, for a proposed addition to an existing house to allow a Floor Area Ratio of 0.38 and a Lot Coverage of 37% whereas the R-1 zone specifies a maximum floor area ratio of 0.35 and maximum lot coverage of 0.35.
