Stage 1 Water Restrictions Lifted, November 21, 2023
District of Ucluelet aquifer levels have increased, and are consistently on the rise. At this time water restrictions are now lifted in the District of Ucluelet.
This year unprecedented drought conditions impacted many regions of British Columbia, including Ucluelet. We experienced significantly less rainfall compared to previous years which we rely on to replenish our aquifer (water source). As our water levels stabilize, we will be working on further development of our Water Conservation Plan to ensure that we can react quickly if needed, when the drier season approaches.
