ACRD Wants to Hear from You: Complete the Survey on Recycling, Organics, Garbage
The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District is developing its long-term plan for managing solid waste (organics, recycling and garbage) in the region over the next decade. We want your input on ways we can think “Beyond the Bin” to reduce what goes into our landfills.
A community survey is now live at www.letsconnectacrd.ca/swmp - completing it will help the ACRD to better understand how you manage your recycling, organics and garbage a and weigh in on current and future programs and services you would like to see.
The survey is live to Nov. 13 – fill it out and enter a $50 gift certificates to the local restaurant or retailer of your choice!
About the Solid Waste Management Plan

Regional Districts are required to create plans for managing solid waste. The ACRD’s current SWMP is now over 10 years old and the goals it established have been achieved – it’s time build upon our successes! The extensive plan development process will include technical review and public input as new goals and strategies are identified to continue waste reduction work.
