Declaration of Election- District of Ucluelet
Ucluelet, B.C — The District of Ucluelet’s Chief Elections Officer declares election by voting for Mayoral Office and election by acclimation for Councillor’s Offices.
Declaration of Election by Voting – Mayor
On September 20, 2022, the Chief Election Officer declared an Election by Voting for the office of the Mayor. The candidates for that office are:
COLE, Rachelle Ucluelet BC
FAITH, Bruce Ucluelet BC
McEWEN, Marilyn Ucluelet BC
Declaration of Election by Acclamation – Councillors
In the District of Ucluelet election by acclamation occurs when there are only four declared candidates for the offices of Councillor. Only the following individuals were declared as candidates for those offices:
ANDERSON, Shawn Ucluelet BC
HOAR, Jennifer Ucluelet BC
KENNINGTON, Ian Ucluelet BC
MAFTEI, Mark Ucluelet BC
As a result, the above-listed individuals are elected by acclamation and there will be no election by voting for the Councillor offices in the 2022 General Local Election.
When and Where to Vote for Mayor
There will be an advance voting opportunity for the Mayoral election on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, and General Voting Day is on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Voting occurs between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM in Activity Rooms 1 & 2 of the Ucluelet Community Centre, located at 500 Matterson Drive, Ucluelet, BC.
