As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting the citizens of Ucluelet, The Ucluelet Volunteer Fire Brigade will be conducting additional mandatory fire hose service testing in the upper Forbes Rd. / Tugwell Fields area, Tuesday August 27 between 7 pm to 9 pm.
The process will consist of utilizing the hydrant on Forbes Rd. at Tugwell Fields Parking Lot.
Due to the nature of the testing and time of year, there will be minimal use of water through the hydrant. However, please note that with minimal use there still can be a disruption within the system that may cause water discoloration within the area.
We suggest that laundry activities be postponed during the duration of the exercise (2 hours) to allow for the water supply to stabilize and return to normal operations.
If you note discoloration in your water supply during the duration of the exercise we suggest running outside faucets until the water clears.
We apologize for any inconvenience; however, it is imperative that the Fire Brigade performs regular maintenance of its equipment to maximize the safety of our firefighters and protection of our community.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
