Contractors will be utilizing hydrants within the municipal system on Marine Drive, between Victoria Road and Sunset Point today, May 7, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
The movement of water through the hydrants at high velocity creates a disturbance in the normal demands on the system and can result in sediment being suspended in the water which can cause discoloration.
We suggest that laundry activities be postponed during the duration of the exercise (2 hours) to allow for the water supply to stabilize and return to normal operations.
If you note discoloration in your water supply during the duration of the exercise we suggest running outside faucets until the water clears.
We apologize for any inconvenience!
